Hi Andersonville!
We’re Tom and Alfie, and we’ve called Chicago home for the last decade. When we arrived, we never expected to find a neighborhood that would feel so deeply like us. From the very beginning, Andersonville gave us something special: a sense of warmth, comfort, belonging, and community that is honestly hard to put into words. The kind of neighborhood where people know your name, where small businesses are supported with heart, and where life feels a little slower and more intentional. It didn’t take long before we knew this was where we wanted to plant roots, grow, and create something meaningful together.
Alongside Alfie’s mom, Barbie, we are so incredibly excited (and honored) to bring a thoughtfully curated shop for the home to our beloved Clark Street. Family has always been at the center of who we are. Not just the family you’re born into, but the chosen family you build throughout your life. The friends who become family, the neighbors who become familiar faces, the people who gather around your table and make a place feel full of love. That sense of connection and togetherness is a huge part of why this dream means so much to us.
Our goal is to thoughtfully complement the amazing businesses already here while offering a carefully chosen collection of home goods that touch every corner of the home. From gathering around the table to winding down at the end of the day, we hope to provide the pieces that become part of your everyday rituals and most meaningful moments. The items we surround ourselves with become part of our daily lives, welcoming guests, finding comfort, creating beauty, celebrating milestones, and making ordinary moments feel a little more special.
For us, home has always been about more than just four walls. It’s the feeling of being welcomed, of hosting people you love, of creating traditions, of building a life that feels warm and authentic. It lives in the spaces where we gather, rest, celebrate, create, and can simply be ourselves.
